1Who we are and what these terms cover
Peirama ("Peirama", "we", "us", "our") is a software service operated from Thessaloniki, Greece, that lets users describe or submit trading strategies and runs them through a battery of statistical tests against historical market data, returning a verdict. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Peirama website at peirama.tech and the associated application (the "Service").
By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. By using the Service you represent that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate.
3What the Service is — and is not
The Service is a research and education tool. It simulates how a trading strategy would have performed on past data and applies statistical tests designed to distinguish genuine edge from luck, overfitting, and look-ahead bias.
The Service is not:
- financial, investment, tax, or legal advice;
- a recommendation, solicitation, or offer to buy, sell, or hold any security, cryptocurrency, derivative, or other financial instrument;
- a guarantee of any future result — past simulated performance does not predict future performance;
- a brokerage, trading venue, or money-management service. We never place trades, hold your funds, or manage assets.
Any decision you make using output from the Service is your decision alone, and you accept full responsibility for it and its consequences.
4Accounts
Access to the application requires an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, and we currently grant access on an invitation or waitlist basis at our discretion.
5Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service to break any law or regulation;
- attempt to breach, probe, or circumvent the security or isolation of the Service, or interfere with its operation;
- submit code intended to harm, exfiltrate data from, or gain unauthorized access to our systems or those of others;
- reverse engineer, scrape, or resell the Service except as permitted by law;
- exceed, or attempt to evade, the usage limits of your plan.
The Service executes user-submitted strategy code in an isolated, sandboxed environment. We take reasonable measures to contain that execution, but you must not use the Service to attempt to run malicious code.
6Plans, fees, and billing
The Service offers a free tier with limited daily usage and one or more paid subscription plans with higher limits. Current prices and limits are shown on the site. Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring monthly basis through our payment processor, Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us and Stripe to charge your payment method on each renewal until you cancel.
We may change prices or plan features. If we change the price of a plan you are subscribed to, we will give you reasonable notice, and the change will take effect at your next renewal. Cancellation and refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
7Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, text, and the structure of its validation battery, is owned by us and protected by intellectual-property law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for its intended purpose while your account is in good standing.
Your content. Strategy descriptions and code you submit remain yours. You grant us a licence to process, store, and run that content solely to provide the Service to you. Strategy code generated by the Service from your description is provided for your use.
8Third-party services and data
The Service relies on third parties, including our payment processor (Stripe), hosting infrastructure, and providers of historical market data. Historical data may contain errors, gaps, or be subject to survivorship bias, and we do not warrant its accuracy or completeness. Your use of third-party services is subject to their own terms.
9Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its results are accurate, reliable, or suitable for any trading or investment purpose.
Backtest results are simulations on historical data and are inherently limited. A passing verdict is not a promise of profit; a failing verdict is not a guarantee of loss. Real trading involves costs, slippage, execution risk, and market conditions that no simulation fully captures.
10Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, trading losses, revenues, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service — including any trading or investment losses — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or fifty euros (€50).
11Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
12Termination
You may stop using the Service and cancel any subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including disclaimers, limitation of liability, and intellectual property) will survive.
13Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
14Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Greece, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights that grant you a different forum, disputes will be subject to the competent courts of Greece.
